Production Assembly Supervisor
Aerotek is currently hiring for a production assembly supervisor in the greater Dundalk, MD area! Please see details below: Contribute to and execute essential processes while developing people, ensuring quality, and monitoring capacity and schedules. Prioritize safety and maintain responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all team deliverables. Implement Lean concepts to enhance productivity and quality, working closely with the manufacturing engineering group to improve safety, ergonomics, and parts flow. Responsibilities: Organize stakeholders upstream and downstream of direct reports to accomplish goals Maintain continuous accountability of people, equipment, and tools Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of routine challenges Conduct regular planning for capacity and resource allocation Evaluate work performance by conducting performance reviews and identifying skills and knowledge gaps in team members Coach team members to close skills and knowledge gaps Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Leads, and Managers to increase productivity and ensure quality Lead operational, safety, and equipment training for team members Communicate updates to stakeholders and other departments as needed Manage floor-level day-to-day staff, including setting staffing schedules and performance management responsibilities Essential Skills: At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment At least one year of previous supervisory experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude, strong sense of urgency, and attention to detail Additional Skills & Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude Experience with fabrication/mechanical assembly in a production environment Experience with Lean/5S concepts Experience with an ORACLE operating system Why Work Here?
