Associate I, Retail Sales Floor

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The associate will be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service. The associate is responsible for overall cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, and dressing room(s) (where applicable). The associate meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/key performance indicator (KPI) for assigned duties. The associate is an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (Good, Better, Best), which may include researching the item's value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards. The associate maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product(s) from racks, carts, or baskets, as well as putting away returned or unwanted item(s). The associate ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised to standard (categorized, colorized, sized), responsible for making decisions to flex product to improve customer shopping experience, and increase sales. The associate assists production by communication targeted needs for the floor to manager on duty. The associate provides excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers by adhering to the 10-foot rule (i.e., anytime you find yourself within 10-feet of a customer, you should smile, greet, make eye contact etc.) and answer product questions as needed. The associate rotates or pulls old or unsold product(s) in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary. The associate is responsible for E-Commerce product identification and pulling from sales floor. The associate follows all retail center policies and procedures. The associate follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers. The associate crosstrains in other departments or areas; acts as a back-up for other areas as required. The job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required. Experience: One (1) year of retail experience is preferred. Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred. Other: Must have attention to detail and ability to make decisions. Ability to use basic technologies to be able to follow company standards. Ability to use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers. Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
