Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Develop Job Hazard Analyses for assigned tasks and conduct safety inspections.
Schedule and maintain documentation for required inspections, quality tests, and compliance activities.
Adhere to dust control, SWPPP, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate and order materials, inspections, equipment, and workforce to meet project timelines, production goals, and specifications.
Supervise jobsite crews to ensure work meets specifications and stays on schedule.
Collaborate with personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work, interpret specifications, and coordinate construction phases to avoid delays.
Oversee daily project operations and keep the project management team informed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of earthwork and roadway superintendent or foreperson work experience leading heavy equipment crews (e.g., grader, track hoe, backhoe, loader, dirt crews, pipe crews).
A minimum of 10 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of roadway construction (dirt excavation, underground utilities, grading, etc.).
A minimum of 10 years of reading blueprints and specs for roadway earthwork projects.
Extensive heavy civil or highway construction experience.
Proven record of completing large-scale projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of scheduling software, project documentation, and reporting.
