Fox Run Golf Club is an 18‑hole championship golf course and 10‑acre practice facility featuring a 4‑hole short course and full driving range. The par 70 layout is 6,400 yards in length and showcases dramatic elevation change through rolling terrain outlined by fescue native areas that enhance the heathland layout. Ranked Top 100 in the Northeast by GolfWeek, Top 3 in the State of Vermont, and Top 25 by New England Golf Guide.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Turf management; supervise the planting, mowing, fertilizing, and maintenance of all turf, including greens, tees, and fairways. Supervise and participate in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA).
Agronomic planning; develop and implement agronomic programs, such as fertilization and soil amendment schedules, monitor turf health, carry out all policies, government regulations, acquire proper licenses, and handle environmental issues.
Pest and disease control; manage integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to control diseases, weeds, and insects, often using environmentally conscious methods.
Chemical management; assure proper handling and storage of all chemicals and fertilizers per label and law.
SDS logs; maintain Saferty Data Sheet (SDS) log.
Irrigation and drainage; manage an aggressive water usage tracking plan and irrigation systems, and provide monthly reporting on wells and other water source usage.
Budget and resource management; develop and manage the departmental budget, control costs, and order necessary supplies and materials.
Equipment maintenance; ensure proper maintenance, upkeep, and safe operation of all maintenance equipment and tools, including planning and budgeting for additional or replacement capital equipment as necessary.
Budgeting & financial management; manage monthly budgets and forecast for future months, including determining large capital needs and presenting these needs to Ownership for budgeting and approval. Implement sound purchasing procedures using preferred vendors when possible.
Staff management; responsible for the selection, training, assignment, and assessment of the Maintenance Team, including upholding training guidelines that are in the best interest of the club and associate safety, and creating training and safety material.
Safety training; hold safety meetings to ensure the highest level of safety for all maintenance associates.
Supervise the application and recording of chemical applications on the grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Pro Shop & PGA Pro; collaborate with the Director of Golf and PGA Pro to maximize the number of golf rounds played, as well as schedule maintenance practices around member play and outings to maximize efficiency.
Represent Fox Run Golf Club in a professional manner at all times.
Oversee golf course and landscaping at all hospitality properties.
Snow removal at Fox Run Golf Club and all hospitality properties.
Nordic center and snowmobile trail grooming and maintenance.
Snowmobile fuel station operation and maintenance.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by Ownership.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* MINIMUM 2 year Certificate in Agronomy, Turf Management, Horticulture or other related field.
Class A status with GCSAA preferred.
Minimum of (5) years of progressive experience in a Golf Course Superintendent role or as Assistant Superintendent at a high‑end golf facility.
Experience with work visa programs such as the H2B Program.
Strong 'in‑house' construction experience.
Spanish speaking ability helpful but not required.
Strong knowledge of all local, state, and federal regulations when dealing with chemicals, fertilizers and water usage.
Ability to acquire and obtain a Pesticide Applicators License for the states of Vermont.
Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and budgeting skills are essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also crucial.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal systems.
