Paws and Claws is looking for volunteers to join our Cat Care Crew!
Paws and Claws Cat Rescue located at 829 Chicago Ave, Evanston is a nonprofit feline animal shelter focused on saving cats and kittens from euthanasia. Our Cat Care Volunteer Program is the heart of our operations. Volunteers are responsible for the welfare and happiness of our cats living at the shelter.

retirees
who are looking to spend some time with kitties,
college students
looking for a break between exams ,
service industry
folks who are looking to do something grounding on their days off, and
anyone else with free time during their week! As a Cat Care Crew member, you will DIRECTLY contribute to saving feline lives and receive plenty of affection from our resident cats as a reward. Throughout your shift, you will help with tasks like cleaning litter boxes, refreshing food and water, cleaning and disinfecting our cat rooms, and keeping things tidy and organized. Once everything is cleaned and reset you'll get time to chill with the cats, offering tons of enrichment and socialization, which will only help our resident felines find their forever home. One of the biggest perks of becoming a volunteer at Paws and Claws is the community you join. It is a solid third space where you can show up and be yourself while doing rewarding work, and feel apart of something bigger.
