I’m partnered with a rapidly growing Fintech client who provides financial software and spend‑management solutions for specialized industries.

Seeking a Director of Loyalty & Rewards Strategy to lead the performance, growth, and profitability of a points‑based rewards program. This role combines strategic leadership, partnership development, economic modeling, and program optimization.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the full P&L and margin performance of the rewards program.
  • Identify, negotiate, and launch partnerships across travel providers, hospitality groups, digital platforms, and broader loyalty networks.
  • Structure commercial agreements and margin‑sharing models that improve redemption costs and strengthen program profitability.
  • Develop redemption frameworks and reward structures that increase member engagement while supporting financial goals.
  • Analyze customer redemption patterns, COGS, partner economics, and pricing impacts to inform ongoing program design.
  • Lead end‑to‑end partner relationship management, including sourcing, onboarding, negotiations, renewals, and ongoing optimization.
  • Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and rewards fulfillment partners.
  • Build promotional and category strategies that drive spend toward high‑margin areas.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to integrate loyalty features throughout the platform.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and discussions related to rewards and loyalty innovation.

What they’re looking for

  • 7+ years of experience within loyalty, rewards, partnerships, or card program strategy.
  • Proven background in building or managing a points‑based rewards program (across any category).
  • Experience structuring commercial deals, negotiating partnerships, and driving mutual profitability.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model redemption behavior, forecast margin impact, and manage program‑level P&L.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third‑party vendors and partnership ecosystems.
  • Comfort operating in high‑growth environments and scaling programs from concept through execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship‑building skills and a data‑driven mindset.

Plus experience

  • Background with credit card issuers, financial institutions, or major loyalty organizations.
  • Experience in tech startups or marketplace platforms or exposure to travel, hospitality or airline partnerships
