CTG is seeking four Epic Principal Trainers to support training and education across multiple Epic application areas. These roles will focus on developing and delivering high‑quality training for clinical and operational end users, supporting go‑live readiness, and maintaining training materials that align with organizational standards.
One of the four positions must be TED certified , and an RN background is preferred for all roles.
1. Epic Principal Trainer – Ambulatory & Outpatient Services
Focus Areas:
Ambulatory and outpatient clinical workflows
Regularly scheduled monthly classroom training for Nurses, Medical Assistants, and other clinical staff
Instructor‑led training sessions
One‑off or ad‑hoc training requests
Support for provider training as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver structured classroom training and individualized sessions
Develop and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, exercises, and tip sheets
Collaborate with operational leaders and application analysts to ensure curriculum accuracy
Support onboarding and ongoing education for clinical staff
2. Epic Principal Trainer – Provider & Ancillary Services
Focus Areas:
Provider‑focused workflows across clinical specialties
Ancillary departments (e.g., therapy, imaging, lab support workflows)
Responsibilities:
Lead provider training sessions, including onboarding and optimization
Deliver training for ancillary teams and support cross‑functional workflows
Create and update training content, job aids, and quick‑reference materials
Partner with clinical leadership to ensure training aligns with operational needs
3. Epic Principal Trainer – Willow, Beacon, Beaker, Radiant
Focus Areas:
Pharmacy (Willow)
Oncology (Beacon)
Laboratory (Beaker)
Radiology (Radiant)
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver training across these specialty modules
Maintain curriculum, build training environments, and create tip sheets
Support end‑user readiness for upgrades, new workflows, and go‑live events
Collaborate with application teams to ensure training reflects current build
4. Epic Principal Trainer – Revenue Cycle (Separate from Clinical EMR)
Focus Areas:
Revenue Cycle workflows (e.g., scheduling, registration, billing, claims, HIM)
Training for operational and administrative staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver training for front‑end and back‑end Revenue Cycle teams
Maintain training materials and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements
Support onboarding, optimization, and workflow changes
Partner with Rev Cycle leadership to ensure training meets operational goals
General Responsibilities for All Positions
Develop and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, exercises, and tip sheets
Deliver instructor‑led training in classroom and virtual settings
Support one‑on‑one training and targeted remediation
Maintain training environments and coordinate with analysts on build updates
Participate in go‑live support and ongoing optimization
Ensure training aligns with organizational standards and Epic best practices
Qualifications
Required:
Experience as an Epic Principal Trainer or Epic Credentialed Trainer
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a hybrid on‑site/remote model
Preferred:
TED certification (required for at least one of the four positions)
RN license or clinical background
Experience with Epic Ambulatory, Ancillary, Willow, Beacon, Beaker, Radiant, or Revenue Cycle modules
Experience developing training materials and tip sheets
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
