QLM Search is partnering a specialist ingredients group that is looking to appoint a Sales Director. Reporting to the Business Unit CEO Sales and forming part of the leadership team, the role will be instrumental in delivering their 5‑year commercial strategy in this specialist Animal/Pet Ingredients division.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective ingredient category management strategies to drive sales and profit growth for the business.
- Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to maximize sales potential.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure the business is meeting their needs and driving customer satisfaction.
- Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments to ensure alignment and collaboration across the business.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns and product launches.
Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience as a Sales Director within the B2B food ingredients sector (experience in the animal/pet nutrition industry is an advantage). They should possess excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills and be able to motivate and manage a large team (10+). Strong knowledge of ingredient category‑management strategies and a track record of driving growth through effective implementation are required.
