Compensation
The compensation is $55 to $70 per hour commensurate with experience
This position is approved to be compensated for up to 80 hours per month based on the workflow and contractor’s availability
Availability
Preference: a commitment to dedicate at least 15 hours per week to this work
Availability to attend up to 5 hours of paid training during IM’s normal business hours
Estimated duration of the work: 6 months, with potential for extension

A link to a social media channel that they have personally managed the growth of to at least 1,000 followers
The screening process for qualified candidates will include a request to write and produce a 60‑second or less on‑camera example applicable to IM’s brand in mathematics education.
Summary
We are seeking a strategic, innovative video content creator to help elevate IM’s voice and strengthen our community presence online. This contractor will implement our social media video strategy, produce engaging multimedia content—chiefly vertical video—and foster meaningful connections with educators who use IM® Math in their classrooms.
Deliverables
Develop and implement social media video aligned to IM’s priorities
Produce short‑form multimedia content (chiefly vertical video) to engage target audiences and elevate educator and student voices
Leverage video content to support building online community engagement with educators who use IM® Math and those who do not yet use IM
Closely coordinate with Marketing, Communications, and Creative teams to ensure alignment and integration
Request input from SMEs and curriculum writers to ensure accuracy when needed
Track and report on social media analytics and optimize based on findings
Attend weekly meetings to stay informed about the organization’s social media strategy and how it relates to video content creation.
General Qualifications
Strong track record managing social media campaigns and content creation, with demonstrated impact on Facebook/Instagram Reels, TikTok, and/or YouTube Shorts, on your own channels or working on behalf of other channels
preferably demonstrated success growing at least one vertical‑video channel to over a minimum of one thousand followers
Expertise in short‑form video production for social media (vertical formats required) using professional editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, or equivalent)
Knowledge of platform trends and ability to adapt them responsibly for an education/nonprofit organization brand
Strong scriptwriting skills
Prior in‑classroom experience in K–12 education communications or community engagement strongly preferred
Strong video performance/presentation skills preferred
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences.
Intermediate proficiency using Google Workspace applications and Slack for communication
