is seeking an
Account Executive for our Employee Benefits Team in California! -
Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and retain a book of business, pursuing growth through networking, referrals, and cross-selling.
Build and maintain relationships with client decision-makers, carrier partners, and internal teams.
Oversee the renewal process for health and life coverages, recommending tailored solutions and cost‑saving strategies.
Ensure compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
Educate clients on benefits legislation and compliance plans (ERISA, COBRA, Medicare, HIPAA, etc.).
Resolve client issues, including escalated employee enrollment and claims concerns.
Prepare and present proposals, stewardship reports, and new business strategies.
Support sales team with new business meetings and client onboarding.
Contribute to team development by mentoring new teammates and sharing industry knowledge.
What You’ll Need
Life & Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years in Employee Benefits OR 5+ years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of group health and welfare benefit plans, underwriting, and regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn new software quickly.
Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Additional Requirements
Occasional travel required (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Salary:
$85-$100k (The actual salary will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications)
