Carmel Terrace is a Faith‑Based, nonprofit short and long‑term care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters.
It’s a place of life, caring, and a true home for our residents, located on lush manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, minutes from Route 9.
Role Overview:
The Social Opportunities Assistant plays an integral role in implementing and carrying out activities that are of interest and meaning to our residents.
Their work enhances resident life and exceeds active‑aging lifestyle expectations.
Job Summary The Social Opportunities Assistant will facilitate programs that maximize resident participation, assist with planning and scheduling, document attendance records, collaborate on liturgical and spiritual programs, find innovative ways for residents to express creativity, and radiate positive energy.
Responsibilities
Facilitate programs that maximize resident participation in social opportunities.
Assist with planning, scheduling and communicating to residents regarding programs.
Assist in the documentation of social opportunities attendance record for all events and activities.
Participate and work with liturgical and spiritual programs offered in the residence.
Find innovative ways for residents to express their creativity, enjoy favorite hobbies, and learn new things; collaborate with them to customize these opportunities to their interests.
Radiate positive energy and give residents reasons to celebrate every day.
Qualifications
High School graduate.
Interested in working with the elderly population.
Experience in event planning a plus.
Long‑Term care experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Every Weekend: 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Pay: $16 per hour.
