Established in 1913, the club boasts an 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course that has been carefully designed to challenge players of all skill levels while offering a scenic and serene environment.
The course, originally designed by renowned architect Donald Ross, has been updated and enhanced over the years to maintain its competitive edge and meet the needs of modern golfers. With lush fairways, strategic bunkering, and well‑protected greens, Forsyth's golf course provides a classic layout that demands both precision and strategic thinking.
In addition to its outstanding golf course, Forsyth Country Club offers a comprehensive golf experience that includes a state‑of‑the‑art practice facility, including a driving range, putting green, and short game area. The club plays host to a strong constituency of female golfers with a Ladies' Golf Association of over 125 members.

Daily Tasks
Monitoring and maintaining the required pace of play, working alongside the outside service staff to ensure all areas of the operation run smoothly, and managing the practice areas and bag room
Fully knowledgeable of all daily opening and closing procedures of the Golf Shop and efficient with the computer systems used on a daily basis
Familiar with all aspects of tournament set‑up, including scorecards, golf car tags, proximities, staging area set‑up, and billing charges
Expert in Golf Genius and Club Essential tee sheet software
Keep the Golf Shop counter and club repair area neat, clean, and organized at all times
Maintain complete knowledge of the handicapping system and all pertinent handicap information
Stays up‑to‑date and current on all upcoming club events
Knowledge and application of the USGA Rules of Golf
Management of tee sheet and event sign‑ups
Club repair and re‑gripping
Engage, interact, and play with the membership
Keeping all merchandise and displays orderly
Individual instruction, clinics, and club fitting
Essential Responsibilities
PGA / LPGA Member or Associate Member
Oversee the Ladies' Golf Program at Forsyth Country Club.
Conduct Ladies' Golf Schools, monthly academies, and weekly clinics
Responsible for weekly Ladies' Play Days during the season.
Lead all Ladies' golf events throughout the year, working closely with the LGA Executive Board
Provide exemplary service to both members and guests of Forsyth Country Club. Have a service‑minded attitude.
Experienced club fitter and teacher, as these are vital to success in this position. The Professional Staff will work closely with one another to provide an extensive number of lessons and club fittings to men, women, and juniors.
Serve as an ambassador of the Club by tirelessly promoting, serving, and representing Forsyth Country Club Country Club and understanding the importance of both the golf operation and the Club as a whole.
Assist the Director of Golf in the management and execution of an extensive tournament schedule.
Assist in the supervision of the Outside Service Staff.
Assist the Professional Staff in the implementation of all golf operation policies and procedures.
Assist the other Professional Staff in supervising and managing the total golf operation in an effective and efficient manner in the absence of the Director of Golf.
Maintain a professional appearance and presentation, men will be clean‑shaven.
All Assistants will maintain an active classification within the PGA / LPGA of America. If not already a PGA / LPGA Member, they will actively pursue their membership.
