Job Overview
Local routes within a 40-mile radius of Port Allen, LA
Average 250 miles per day
Hauling bulk powder cement, alumina, fly ash, and lime
Schedule and Home Time
6 days on, 1 day off rotation (weekend work required)
Home daily
Compensation and Bonuses
$900-$1100 weekly
Cement load/unload: $30 per dispatch
Lime and alumina load/unload: $50 per dispatch
Detention pay: $5 per quarter hour
$1,500 referral bonus ($750 at hire, $750 at 90 days)
Key Responsibilities
100% touch freight - hands‑on loading and unloading
Assist with loading: climb trailer, flip lids, position hoses
Offloading: connect 20-60 ft hoses, operate pneumatic blower
Monitor gauges to ensure smooth product flow
Requirements
Valid CDL‑A license
6 months of recent verifiable tractor‑trailer experience OR 1 year within the past 3 years
TWIC card (required)
Physical ability to perform loading/unloading tasks
Willingness to work weekends
