ATSS is currently looking for a Marine Electrician for our client in Theodore, AL.
Pay ranges from $18-$28 based on experience and interview.
After 90 days candidate will role to full time employee and be eligible for full time benefits (PTO and Insurance).
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to being hired.
Job Requirements
Must have 2 years experience with Installing and rigging small Marine power plants, outboards, stern drives, small diesels, water jets, and straight shafts.
Must have experience in routing cabling, harnesses and piping.
Possess troubleshooting skills for diagnosing installing and fit issues.
Additional knowledge and experience in other marine systems such as water, HVAC, plumbing and lighting is a plus.
General Qualifications Ability to perform hands on work. Able to follow verbal and written instructions, use hand tools (including drills, sanders, wrenches, screw drivers, etc.). Performs clean, thorough work no matter the task.
Job Duties
Ability to read a tape measure
Familiarity with operation of power/cutting tools
Installs various outboards (with instruction)
Installs various types of equipment (with instruction)
Installation of all wiring, fuel and control and oil systems (with instruction)
Install correct size and approved fuel, exhaust and water hoses (with instruction)
Installs steering systems in accordance with OEM instruction
Calibrate gauges in accordance with OEM instructions
Familiarity with ABYC standards and install equipment according to its guidelines
Familiarity with fresh/raw water and sanitary systems
Acts as a team leader on certain projects as needed
Ability to install various drive systems such as water jets, inboard gas and diesel, stern drive, shaft drive and various outboards
Ability to troubleshoot various systems
Ability to conduct a fuel system or any other tank system test for integrity
Ability to fabricate equipment panels/brackets as necessary
Ability to install (including separation of systems) fresh/raw water and sanitary systems
ABYC Standards certification a plus
Relies on judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals
Able to install various outboard, inboard diesel and gas engines
Other duties as assigned
Uses established company procedures to work in a safe manner
