Job Description Farr Front Pipeline, a USA DeBusk company, offers comprehensive pipeline integrity services, with advanced technologies, purpose-built systems and rental equipment, experienced project management, and an uncompromising commitment to safety. We are a trusted resource for pigging, fluid filtration, temporary flaring, chemical cleaning and treating, lab analysis, hydrotesting, commissioning/decommissioning, and project management.
We are looking to hire Pipeline Technicians to join our team. The Pipeline Technician is responsible for safe on-site pigging operations, maintenance, and equipment installation. Ensuring equipment performs within acceptable parameters. They will be under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Field Supervisors.
Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Operate and maintain company vehicle(s) and equipment to ensure personal safety and equipment safety
Perform reasonable and safe repairs
Control and minimize repair expenses through a strong preventative maintenance program
Comply with HS&E Policies and Safety Program
Act in a professional manner while representing Farr Front Pipeline
Assist in equipment maintenance, pre-job and post-job
Assist with loading and unloading equipment on job sites and in shop
Complete all required paperwork
Assist in rigging up temporary equipment on job sites and in shop (e.g., temporary piping, pig traps, separators, flares)
Assist in pipeline pigging operations (e.g., pig launching and receiving, liquid separation)
Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Field Supervisor
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
No criminal background; background checks will be performed
Valid driver’s license
Clean motor vehicle record; no more than two speeding tickets in the last three years
Willing to travel out of state
TWIC card preferred
Good work ethics
Ability to follow instructions
Good communication skills
Team‑work oriented
Be punctual
Commitment to safety
Physical Demands While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The Pipeline Technician frequently must sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk and hear. They must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision, peripheral vision along with depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Working Environment Employees regularly work outside in all weather conditions. Job duties are frequently conducted in hazardous environments; FRCs are required to be worn. The pipeline technician frequently works in areas exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There will be extensive travel and time away from home with this job, hourly pay with overtime and daily per diem, dependent upon the job location.
