MEMBER ADVISOR
SUMMARY:
The Member Advisor is to develop strategies to foster aggressive growth and expansion of business penetration among credit unions within their respective territory and for the development and retention of credit union relationships within defined territories.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing the current territory while focusing on the development and retention of members within current territory.
Overseeing and maintaining relationships within the designated region.
Ensuring consistent service delivery and addressing member needs effectively.
Credit Union Development:
Identifying new opportunities to grow membership.
Promoting products and services to existing members.
Build strong, long-term relationships to enhance loyalty.
Develop and implement strategies to meet territory sales and retention goals.
Monitor performance metrics and adjust efforts to maximize results.
Stay up to date on the latest payment trends, technologies, and market shifts.
Provide members with innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
Training of credit union staff.
Attend credit union chapter meetings, education seminars and trade shows.
Effectively manage accounts through Salesforce or other designated CRM system to track member interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
Leverage CRM data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Provide support for any CACU sponsored event, including but not limited to Lunch and Learns, webinars, regional meetings and annual meeting.
Market CUSO’s.
Liaison between business and its member institutions.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS/BA in Economics, Marketing, Business or related field
Three (3) years field sales experience in the wholesale financial industry is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel
Prior experience in sales or consulting
Public speaking ability
Knowledge of technology and credit union industry
Understanding of ALM modeling programs
Knowledge of day to day real-person credit union operations
Must have a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently.
DEPARTMENT AND/OR JOB SPECIFIC COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Adhere to Corporate, departmental and governmental policies and regulations, laws and policies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires a substantial amount of travel visiting member credit unions in an assigned territory.
The work environment and physical demands of this position are representative of similar jobs in comparable companies.
Compensation: Compensation: $125,000 per year
