Position Overview Reports to the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment, who sets the strategic priorities and vision for recruitment activities. The Senior Enrollment Specialist will work to strategically implement the recruitment plan, developing and implementing recruitment strategies, marketing materials, prospective student programming, and events for the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct appointments with prospective students, including telephone and virtual appointments, and deliver informational sessions to increase high-quality applications and enrollment of EHE students.
Collaborate with the recruitment director to research, develop, and implement recruitment projects and programs targeting prospective high school juniors, seniors, and transfer students, and present at university and/or college recruitment events locally and nationally.
Provide oversight, organization, and management of student volunteers who participate in recruitment events and assist with recruiting initiatives, including calling and writing campaigns for prospective students.
Partner with the recruitment Director and EHE marketing to develop marketing materials and implement initiatives such as emails, postcards, mailings, and giveaways, and manage recruitment content for the website.
Act as a team member to support all initiatives across the Academic Affairs unit as needed, including recruitment, retention, student advising, and career services.
Other duties as assigned; some weekend and evening hours and travel may be required.
Duty Breakdown
65% Conduct prospective student appointments and deliver informational sessions to sustain and grow high-quality applications and enrollment of EHE students.
15% Partner with the recruitment Director and EHE marketing to implement marketing and recruitment initiatives, manage recruitment content, and maintain inventory of materials.
15% Collect, analyze, and report enrollment and recruitment data as needed.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable.
4 years of relevant experience required; 4-8 years preferred.
Experience in student personnel work or counseling; knowledge of university academic rules and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
Significant knowledge or experience with recruitment, admissions, event planning, cooperative education, service learning, and community/university outreach.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; capacity to coordinate events.
Master's degree.
Additional Information Targeted Hiring Range:
$53,600 to $71,700.
