Overview
This is a training role designed to prepare the Sales Trainee (ST) for the Account Sales Manager (ASM) role. The ST supports sales initiatives and provides route coverage for the ASM during vacation, sickness, injury, or special projects as needed. The ST will work with management to maintain customer relationships between sales, merchandising and operations for all large and small format off premise stores. The ST must service all customers in a safe, productive and professional manner in compliance with Red Bull executional standards.
Responsibilities
The Sales Trainee is in a training program; upon successful completion, the ST is eligible to interview for open ASM roles.
Upon completion of the program and certification, if no ASM or other qualified role is available and performance standards are met, the ST may remain in the ST role up to 12 months or until an ASM or another qualified role is available (whichever comes first).
If promoted to ASM or another role does not occur before the end of the 12-month period, the ST assignment may end, unless an exception applies. For exceptions, based on continued high performance, no open roles, and certification completion, a manager may extend the 12-month period by up to 6 months.
The ST role is an at-will position; either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason or no reason at all, with or without cause.
Build and protect the Red Bull brand through proper product rotation and brand flow following Red Bull standards.
Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with customers to increase sales and merchandising effectiveness.
Obtain and prepare tools (insights, displays, Point of Sale, pricing, etc.) to execute the daily plan and communicate priorities with ASMs/DSMs.
Provide in-route support by covering ASM routes as needed and focusing on daily KPIs such as sales, distributions, pricing, displays, new accounts and merchandising.
Support off-route activities including audits, blitzes, and merchandising to drive sales; perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Expertise
Valid US Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card
DOT Medical Card required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Experience in customer service and sales is a plus
Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds of inventory and/or advertising displays
English required; additional languages are an advantage
