Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service at all times.

Anticipate resident’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

Maintain complete knowledge of restaurant(s) operations, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant(s).

Work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and/or General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs.

Set tables in accordance to Coterie standards.

Serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested.

Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.

Adhere to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.

Review daily menu with residents.

Maintain complete knowledge of Toast and/or POS system as well as manual systems.

Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests.

Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed.

Clean and reset tables immediately after resident and guests depart.

Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices (when applicable), preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size and method of presentation.

Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.

Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

Process payments through the POS.

When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours.

Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.

Complete side duties as assigned: cleanliness, quality and amount of all restaurant stock and supplies using checklist; fold napkins.

Review reservations and accommodate requests and exceed expectations for pre-assigned tables as necessary.

Create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff.

Attend Pre-Meal stand up held for all dining and kitchen staff.

May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Qualifications

Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as a server, Fine Dining experience preferred.

Food handling certificate where applicable.

Certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable.

Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees.

Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour.
