Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting pay will be $14.50–$16.50, depending on your skills and experience.

Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours are between 8–10 hours.

Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities Will Include

Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory in and outside the department. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete surveys. Maintain the full Hallmark product display at assigned stores.

Holiday support: Work additional days and extended hours around holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May work on the holiday itself.

Department resets: Participate in installations and tasks such as building fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections; typically notified two weeks in advance. May include evenings or weekends.

Team support: Assist other merchandisers in the network as needed.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires consistent energy and urgency. You’ll work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lbs daily and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the day are required, and climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Can read, write, and understand English.

Can lift and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.

Can operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.

Has a Wi‑Fi network and internet access.

Has reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
