Overview
Merchandiser – Part Time in San Luis Obispo, CA for Dietz and Watson. Pay Rate: $21-$23 based on experience. Weekly payroll via Direct Deposit. Our team is seeking a Part-Time Merchandiser to support safety-focused customer service and brand awareness. The Merchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness, with knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli. Responsibilities
Set up deli cases and rotate deli products appropriately Assemble necessary equipment for use in case setups Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson POS Attract customers to the deli by demonstrating products Develop new recipe ideas and/or sandwiches for demos Complete reports as necessary, including store surveys Make regular store visits Build and maintain customer relationships by displaying high-level customer service to deli managers and employees Possess the knowledge and ability to create and market Dietz & Watson party trays and sandwiches Communicate information deemed necessary to the Account Manager (e.g., grand openings, store closings) Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment Perform special projects outside of the assigned territory Minimum Requirements
Flexibility and ability to travel within 20 miles of the hiring location Must be able to read and write English Must have computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must possess communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills Must be able to exercise independent decision-making skills regularly Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license Must have valid Real ID or Passport for travel Physical Requirements
Standing, bending, twisting Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Push/pull carts containing product – occasionally up to 100 lbs. Walking Reaching Use of both hands and arms General Working Conditions/Environment
