Purpose of Position
Work close with supervisor, setup person or shipping clerk in performing repetitive take‑off operation on line tables on a variety of bearings or bearing units.
Position Description
Repetitive plug gauging
Wiping of large bearings or mounted units using overhead lifting devices on large table wrap
Responsible for maintaining quality through adherence to specified programs, procedures, and requirements
Duties in addition include proper distribution of shipped direct or to service center
Responsible for ensuring the following match on each order: box label, MOS, correct counts
Retrieve proper order number to obtain the correct label information from electronic label system
Transfer completed containers to stretch‑wrap machines
Ensure nameplate description is legible, matches order and quantity
Detect and report faulty operation or defective material and notify supervisor of unusual conditions
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
Observe all safety regulations
Make sure the label matches the bill of material and apply the first correct label to the bill of material being sent out with parts
Perform various other related duties as required or directed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Self‑motivated with excellent communication skills
Read and comprehend written instructions and directions
Exercise good judgement
Basic computer skills
Operate small equipment and power tools
Calculate and count proficiently
Ability to work independently
Ability to set priorities as well as read and interpret special instructions
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
