Job Overview As a Retail Merchandiser you work independently to showcase organization, time‑management, and retailer relationship skills while representing Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other product lines in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting pay will be $15.00‑$17.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.

This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Weekly hours are approximately 10–12 hours.

You must be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a Hallmark‑provided mobile device, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. You use technology for communication, time reporting, feedback, and required surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.

Holiday support: During seasonal demand peaks (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), you may work additional days and extended hours, and sometimes on the holiday itself, including weekends.

Department resets: You may assist in installations, fixture building, and department relocation tasks. Notice is given at least two weeks in advance; assignments can occur evenings or weekends.

Team support: As a field merchandiser you belong to a network of professionals who may support each other in their territories.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding role requiring a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Physical stamina to lift/carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Proficiency with a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.

Reliable Wi‑Fi access and internet connectivity.

Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
