Prep Cook
Levy Restaurants is looking for a dedicated and organized Prep Cook to support our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring we run smoothly every service.
Job Summary The Prep Cook plays a vital role in the kitchen by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs with day-to-day culinary tasks. This position supports menu execution, maintains sanitation standards, and ensures ingredients are prepped, labeled, and stored according to operational guidelines. The Prep Cook will operate kitchen equipment safely and be responsible for their station’s setup and breakdown.
Responsibilities
Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, and garnishes as directed
Portion, label, and store food for future use
Clean and sanitize prep areas and equipment
Maintain consistent stock of ingredients at station
Receive and organize kitchen deliveries
Support line cooks during service as needed
Follow recipe and portion guidelines precisely
Ensure food safety compliance throughout all prep processes
Assist with inventory and waste tracking
Work collaboratively to meet prep and service deadlines
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and uphold standards
Position is slated to be on Weekdays Only
