East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for
Bus Drivers
East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district’s K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
Terms
Compensation per the Bus Driver Master Agreement
Competitive Pay: Starting at
$29.25/hour
plus an attendance incentive!
Benefits: Paid Holidays, Sick Leave and HRA. Employee contributions to health, dental and life insureance!
Minimum Qualifications
Satisfactory health condition as certified by competent medical authority
Must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete the training curriculum for school bus drivers and obtain a Validl Driver’s License with appropriate school bus and passenger endorsement.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License with a school bus and passenger endorsement.
Current medical certification card
Basic Function of the Position
Provide transportation for students to ensure they arrive safely and in a timely manner.
Job Description
Safely transport students to and from school and school related functions within scheduled times.
Responsible for maintaining proper student conduct during transport.
Conducts safe and orderly loading and unloading of students at specified stops.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Provide written reports related to student transport, when necessary
Responsible for the cleanliness of the bus. Sweeping interior.
Accomplishes and submits daily mileage reports and bus conduct reports, as required.
Responsible for ensuring all accidents are immediately reported to a Driver Supervisor.
Performs related duties as required.
Reporting Relationship
Bus Drivers report to the Transportation Director.
