Duties and responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Transform initial rough designs and mark-ups into finished working documents

Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as cargo terminals, marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls and coastal structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters and jetties)

Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standards

Compute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projects

Assist designers and senior technicians with the preparation of engineering drawing packages

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

6+ years of structural design experience

Strong proficiency using AutoCAD to create structural drawings and details

Knowledge of material properties

Understanding and application of CAD standards

Proficiency in Civil 3D preferred but not required

Good numeracy, geometry and computer skills

Understanding of construction methods

Due to client parameters, selected candidate must show (post offer) proof of U.S. citizenship and clear results of a thorough background check that may include but is not limited to credit and criminal history

All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range $40.00 to $49.00 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting the required qualifications in the job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the New York City markets.

Physical demands Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required.
