Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. The Activities Assistant will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing a diverse range of activities and programs designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music therapy sessions, and exercise classes.
Provide one‑on‑one support and encouragement to residents who may require additional assistance or accommodations.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
Document activity participation and resident progress as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
