THE OPPORTUNITY As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for ensuring our food is absolutely delicious, ordering supplies, and training others to become future Kitchen Leaders.
The Kitchen Leader helps ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s delicious food every day. They keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well‑stocked; maintain equipment; model teamwork; and create a great customer experience while staying busy and pitching in with teammates.
What You’ll Do
Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures
Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house crews
Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders
Communicate with crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput
Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
Monitor kitchen equipment and keep it in good repair, reporting malfunctions promptly
Guarantee that the kitchen and all crew meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
What You’ll Bring To The Table
Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
High school diploma
Restaurant experience
