In Room Dining Server (PT)
Join our team as the next In-room Dining/Room Service Server at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, located in the heart of the UT campus.
Position Overview This is a part-time role that requires both AM and PM availability. Cross‑training is involved to assist in other areas of restaurant when occupancy is slower.
Responsibilities Provide food and beverage service to guests in their sleeping rooms.
Set up chinaware
Set up silverware
Set up glassware
Set up linen
Set up station for breakfast, including coffee, hot water, juice, butter, milk and condiments.
Polish glassware
Polish silverware
Fold napkins
Set up tables
Clean dirty tables/trays
Prepare table for delivery
Pick up the order from the kitchen; compare the order against your checks to ensure everything is correct.
Check the table or tray prior to delivery
Serve the guests
Present the check
Handle complaints by listening carefully, not interrupting, apologizing, and agreeing to a course of action; notify supervisor immediately.
Deliver V.I.P. orders/amenities at least 15 minutes prior to guest arrival and replenish/refill daily.
Pick up dirty tables and trays from the hallway and return to Room Service.
Reset all empty tables accurately.
Check with supervisor before leaving the area.
Minimum Requirements
Prior hotel or restaurant experience preferred; exposure to hotel operations useful.
Valid and active TABC license at the time of hire.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must read, write, and speak in English.
Occasionally lift or push up to 50 lbs.
Maintain proper professional business attire appearance; be cleanly groomed and maintain proper hygiene per employee handbook requirements.
