Dining Services Cook (Food Services) Join Pines Village Retirement Communities, Inc., an independent retirement community providing apartment-like senior living to our residents. We celebrate life by enriching the lives of older adults. We are seeking a compassionate Cook to join our Dining team. The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of food according to daily menus for residents. The Cook works with other members of the dining team to ensure a positive dining experience for all residents and guests.
Education, Licensure and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess or successfully pass a Food Service Sanitation Certification Course (SERV Safe Certification).
1–3 years prior cooking/kitchen experience needed.
Familiar with commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.
Must learn correct procedures and follow procedures with minimal supervision.
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to handle interactions with residents, families and staff.
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to follow safety guidelines.
