THE OPPORTUNITY As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, well stocked, and that equipment is properly maintained. Throughout the day you will serve as a role model for Crew members, helping them learn to become future Kitchen Leaders and promoting teamwork for a great customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Follow Chipotle’s policies and procedures
Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
Monitor food waste and inventory levels and resolve food quality issues
Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house Crew
Develop Crew members into future Kitchen Leaders
Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; repair malfunctioning equipment promptly
Ensure the kitchen and all Crew members meet safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
What You’ll Bring To The Table
Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
High school diploma
