Cake Decorator – The Batter Up Bakery (Temecula, CA)
The Batter Up Bakery in Temecula, CA is looking for a full‑time cake decorator to join our team. We are located on 26490 Ynez Rd Ste K. Our ideal candidate is a self‑starter, punctual, and reliable.
Responsibilities
Decorate cakes with buttercream and whipped cream, cover in fondant, carve and sculpt shapes, cut‑outs, and figurines.
Assemble, decorate, and ice wedding cakes, cupcakes, and special‑order cakes, cake pops, and chocolate‑decorated cookies.
Icing and stacking multi‑tiered cakes.
Sculpt figurines, shapes, and cut‑outs using molding chocolate and fondant.
Occasional delivery and set‑up of customer wedding cake orders on Saturdays and Sundays.
Follow verbal and written instructions and perform basic arithmetic as needed.
Work in a production environment and occasionally in a cold environment of 35 °F to pull product.
Physical Requirements
Perform repetitive bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Minimum of 2 years of cake‑decorating experience in a bakery.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, work in a time‑driven team environment, and follow strict food‑safety guidelines.
Food Handlers Card.
Weekends are mandatory.
