The role of a Finisher I consists of finishing hardware medical device parts within the required specifications listed on work orders, schematics, and blueprints. The Finisher I will be expected to work independently to complete the following tasks: Accurately Counting Parts, Sandblasting, Tumbler/Disc Machine Operation, Electro-Polishing, Drill Press Operation, Dremel Use, Tapping, Heat Treating, Peek Finishing, Tapping, and Work Order Diligence. The Finisher I is required to be versatile within a production environment and learn various equipment as required.

Development of the following skills will be expected: Blueprint Reading, Use of Microscopes and Similar Devices for Close-Up Work, Final Finishes, Brazing, Use of Measurement Instruments, Set Instruments to Specified Dimensions and Tolerances, Hand Filing, and Drill Press Fixture Set-up.

Responsibilities

Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Independently complete finishing activities including Accurately Counting Parts, Sandblasting, Tumbler/Disc Machine Operation, Electro-Polishing, Drill Press Operation, Dremel Use, Tapping, Heat Treating, Peek Finishing, Tapping, and Work Order Diligence.

Requirements

Must be able to follow leadership's instructions.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Strong attention to detail.

Must have the ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Must be able to use the necessary tools and complete the required processes expected of a Finisher I.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity.

Must possess strong math skills, ability to add, subtract, and count accurately.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop and crouch, push, pull, reach, grasp, feel, talk, and hear.

Must be able to move around large areas.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects unassisted.

Required to lift more than 60 pounds rarely and/or 25 to 60 pounds occasionally.

Required to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less.

Must be able to judge distance and spatial relationships.

Must be able to visually bring objects into sharp focus for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
