The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. The Dishwasher ensures all items are stored appropriately, assists with kitchen cleaning and organization, and supports kitchen staff with food preparation as needed. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
SHIFT Flexible to work any 8.5‑hour shift between when we open at 3 AM, to closing (time varies but typically, between 10 pm - midnight).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area and equipment.
Ensure all dishes and utensils are stored appropriately and ready for use.
Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances as needed.
Dispose of trash and recycling according to restaurant guidelines.
Follow health and safety standards and regulations, including proper handling of chemicals.
Support kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation and other tasks as needed.
Work efficiently to keep up with the flow of dishes during peak times.
Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with coworkers and supervisors.
Report any maintenance or cleaning issues to management promptly.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by FMS/Skyport, brand partners, airport, federal, state, and local employment regulations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT Airport:
This position operates in a climate‑controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public is outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.
Restaurant:
This position may require frequent exposure to a restaurant or retail operation environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial restaurant equipment, noise, and guests will be a common occurrence.
The nature of restaurant work requires the Dishwasher to possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others. Eye‑hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required. Some bending, crouching, pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of 20‑50 lbs. Some repetitive motions with hands, wrists, or arms. Must be able to operate all equipment used in the restaurant. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment, and sharp instruments. Risk to these exposures is minimized by strict adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.
