Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

Takes orders from servers or guests.

Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks following specification for each beverage.

Serves wine and draft or bottled beer.

Collects money for drinks served and properly tenders payment in accordance with the cash handling internal controls as needed to maintain par levels.

Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.

Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.

Completes opening side work and closing duties.

Sells Travel Keno/Lottery tickets and racing programs when needed.

Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.

One to three months related experience and/or training.

Excellent customer service/communication skills.

Count money and change correctly.

Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.

Read, write legibly, understand, and speak English. Bilingual a plus.

Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Able to qualify for licensing with WV Racing Commission and obtain food safety certification (Ex: ServSafe).

Able to work in an environment with unrestricted second‑hand smoke and with loud noise levels.

Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
