Deliver Exceptional Culinary Experiences

Prepare menu items within allotted time using standardized recipes—ensuring quality, taste, and presentation Assure optimal temperature and appearance of all meals served to residents and staff Plate and garnish dishes for attractive presentation Support catering and special event meal preparation as needed Champion Food Safety & Sanitation

Adhere to food safety and workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures Ensure proper sanitation of kitchen and equipment, following department standards Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and mixers Participate in daily and weekly cleaning routines for kitchen and storage areas Label and date all food items to ensure proper rotation and minimize waste Support Dietary Needs & Compliance

Prepare meals according to special diet requirements and allergen information Maintain compliance with organization’s Standards of Ethical Conduct and HIPAA privacy and security rules Report any mistreatment, abuse, neglect, or exploitation of residents in accordance with Colorado Elder Abuse Law Drive Kitchen Operations & Teamwork

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before each shift Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for food and supplies Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing food deliveries> Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation and safety standards Foster positive working relationships with all staff Follow uniform guidelines and present a professional image at all times Take initiative in continuing education and attend mandatory programs Respond promptly to resident and staff requests or feedback regarding meals Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED

A minimum of one year of professional cooking experience, preferably in a health care setting Knowledge of food safety standards, workplace safety, and sanitation practices YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT
