**Summary:****Essential Functions:*** Supporting event management operations.* Set up/tear down of event venues.* Checking in guests/front of house manager.* Staffing Events in the McKinley Building.* Staffing Virtual Events (mainly via zoom).* Tracking attendance through Eventbrite.* Assisting Event Planning Manager with planning and organization of SOC Events.* Building events on various online channels.* Creating Run of Shows and Invoices for Events.* Assisting with email outreach and digital calendar listings.* Writing content for the School of Communication website, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts related to SOC Events.**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:*** Part-time.* Up to 10 hours per week.**Salary Range:*** $17.95 per hour.**Required Education and Experience:*** Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.* Professional demeanor and appearance.* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail.* Customer service focus.The Events Assistant supports event activities including set up and breakdown, promotion, administrative tracking, check in, etc. The ideal candidate for this position must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, outgoing, and display efficient use of their time and scheduling, exercising strong multitasking abilities.
