Job Description Delivering automotive parts to wholesale customers offers a valuable introduction to the auto parts industry, providing firsthand experience in logistics and customer service. Many successful professionals in the field begin their careers as delivery drivers. This role requires physical strength and stamina, as it involves lifting, squatting, and carrying heavy items throughout the workday.
Responsibilities
Punctually report to work.
Collaborate with parts staff to establish the day's delivery schedule and priorities.
Efficiently and orderly load parts into the delivery vehicle.
Ensure paperwork is organized and matches the delivery setup.
Reconcile money received with invoices and delivered parts.
Handle customer returns respectfully and according to company and department policies.
Seek opportunities to develop new business whenever possible.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferably, prior professional driving experience.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Proficiency with computers and calculators.
Desire to maintain customer satisfaction with fast, efficient service.
Ability to learn automotive computer and parts numbering systems.
Basic knowledge and interest in cars.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
