Position
Clerical Assistant 2 – Pittsburgh Office, Department of Environmental Protection. We are seeking a meticulous administrative professional with exceptional organizational abilities to join our team and assist with various Oil & Gas authorization processes and document digitization.
Description of Work The Clerical Assistant 2 provides clerical assistance to staff in plugging orphaned and abandoned wells pursuant to IIJA and digitizing OG’s paper records. Responsibilities include processing Oil & Gas authorizations under the direction of the lead worker and clerical supervisor: drill and operate well permit applications, pillar permit applications, notice of intent to plug, request to transfer well permit/registration, well records, certificates of plugging, inactive well status, expired/cancelled permits, waste management forms, notices of intent, proposed alternate methods, and well site restoration. You will review incoming authorization applications for proper documentation to ensure appropriate supporting documentation and payment have been submitted. Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday‑thru‑Friday with a 30‑minute lunch.
Telework: opportunity to work from home part‑time, up to 3 days per week. Must have securely configured high‑speed internet and an approved Pennsylvania location. Telework may change at any time. If unable to telework, option to report to Pittsburgh headquarters.
Salary: New hires within Pennsylvania begin at $36,108 (before taxes).

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by Office of Administration); or
Graduation from high school; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
