Beauty Sales Consultant

Position Summary:
The Beauty Sales Consultant will serve as a primary beauty advisor at a CVS store, providing friendly and knowledgeable sales service to customers who enter the beauty zone. The role focuses on personalized customer interactions, driving sales, and fostering lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
Seek out customers to ensure a personalized beauty advisor experience, with effective upselling, suggestive selling, and follow‑up contact to build lasting relationships.
Engage each customer in the beauty zone, listen attentively, be sensitive to customer needs, and provide specialized sales advice.
Utilize verbal skills to stimulate meaningful conversations and generate sales.
Serve as a brand expert, answering detailed product questions and maximizing the sales basket.
Explain how products meet customer needs, educate on usage and benefits, and promote the CVS Beauty monthly sampling program.
Participate in and represent company sales programs or events, including the CVS Beauty Club and in‑store promotions.
Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty‑specific promotional materials.
Keep the beauty zone clean and well‑stocked, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
Execute tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing policies promptly.
Complete onboarding and ongoing training programs to keep product knowledge and sales skills current.
Track sales progress, meet sales budgets, and participate in training meetings and conference calls.
Maintain a professional appearance per company guidelines and stay updated on beauty trends.
Seek continuous improvement in product knowledge, client service skills, and sales performance.
Physical Requirements
Must stand, walk, and move throughout the store for the majority of the shift.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach objects.
Must perform manual dexterity tasks such as ear piercing (training provided).
Must perform all tasks described in the job description and be at least 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
Sales oriented with ability to use sales data and product knowledge to achieve goals.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Goal‑driven, multitasking ability.
Independent and collaborative work in a fast‑paced environment.
Flexible retail schedule availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, peak hours).
Willingness and ability to perform ear‑piercing services.
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish in certain stores.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior beauty sales experience.
Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Education & Eligibility High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Job Details
Anticipated weekly hours: 40
Full‑time position
Pay range: $16.50 – $24.00 per hour (base rate). Final salary depends on experience, education, and location.
