PFG Customized . This entry-level driver training position offers a 4‑day work week (Sun‑Sat) rotating between 8 pm‑2 am dispatch times on a Teams Route schedule. Position Purpose
This driver trainee learns to drive a tractor‑tremor or straight truck intrastate and/or interstate on local, over‑the‑road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes while delivering and unloading various food and food‑related products. All routes are expected to be completed safely in accordance with Company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The trainee interacts professionally with customers, vendors, and co‑workers to execute all duties with preferred work methods and customer‑service practices. Position Responsibilities
Attend and successfully complete the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock-To-Driver Training Program; maintain all training documentation. Ride‑with and assist driver trainer during deliveries; follow all instructions and directions. Perform required safety checks (pre/post‑trip inspections) per DOT regulations and company safety standards; report all safety issues. Follow DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards. Inspect trailer for proper loading and secure freight; count check items and verify customer invoices. Drive, deliver, and unload customer orders per predetermined route schedule. Ensure proper loading/unloading of damaged goods and customer returns; obtain signatures and collect payment as required. Secure tractor, trailer, and freight at all times; lock and secure doors. Complete daily hours of service log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements. Perform general housekeeping in tractor, loading dock area; keep trailers clear and clean; secure all equipment at shift end. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or state‑approved equivalent. Valid CDL A license. Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable). Must be 21 years of age. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years. Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check. Pass road test. Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure new DOT Health Card. Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight ranging from 10‑35 pounds up to approximately 60‑90 pounds. 0‑6 months commercial driving experience. Compensation
$25.00/hr
