As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
Base pay range
$19.00/hr – $26.00/hr Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business; track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage. Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations; process meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping); ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a work area according to company policies and procedures; ensure quality and standards for high‑volume meat products; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled and stored. Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them to perform job‑related duties as assigned. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; utilize the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. Hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Premiums may apply as described above. Minimum Qualifications
• 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Must successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications
