Overview
It is the responsibility of the Kitchen Steward to clean all stoves, ovens, grills, broilers, braziers, woks, deep fryers, steam tables, and refrigerator’s, warmers, reach‑in coolers, and stainless steel hood areas. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values.
Responsibilities
Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
Adhere to policies and procedures.
Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
Clean dishes and break down dish machine.
Clean stoves and ovens thoroughly on a daily basis.
Clean grills, broilers and braziers on a daily basis.
Clean refrigerator and reach‑in coolers on a daily basis.
Drain and clean deep fryers and refill with fry oil as requested by the Room Chef.
Clean and polish all stainless steel hood areas on a daily basis.
Empty all grease traps on stove lines on a daily basis.
Remove old grease from kitchens and bring to the proper grease bins in the designated areas.
Clean waffle irons and Panini Machine on a daily basis.
Inform Lead Steward of needed supplies.
Bring all supplies down from the storage areas.
Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
Turnover/Takeover station according to established procedure.
Complete special projects as requested by Stewarding Management Team.
Check and clean all floor drains on a daily basis.
And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Knowledge and use of basic reading, writing and speaking skills in English.
Must be able to communicate with guests, co‑workers and supervisors and understand procedures.
Minimum age is 21 years old.
