Laundry Staff Member
Overview We are seeking a Laundry Staff Member to join our growing team! This role is essential in providing residents with clean, well‑maintained linens and clothing, ensuring their comfort and hygiene. Success in this position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Wash & Dry Laundry: Utilize both household and industrial laundry equipment to clean resident and facility linens and clothing.
Fold & Organize Linens: Fold and stack linen neatly, ensuring proper storage and distribution.
Deliver Clean Linens: Ensure linens and laundry are delivered promptly to resident rooms and facility areas.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep laundry areas and equipment clean and in good working condition.
Handle Chemicals Safely: Use approved laundry detergents and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
Assist Residents: Deliver clothing directly to residents’ rooms and ensure items are handled with care.
Qualifications
Can follow verbal instructions and work efficiently in a team environment.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure laundry is properly cleaned and organized.
Is reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude when working with residents, families, and staff.
Understands the importance of cleanliness and infection control in a healthcare setting.
