We are building a network of freelance linguists with strong skills in transcription and related services. Our projects range from short-form audio review and correction to voiceover recordings, captioning, and subtitling. Selected linguists will be engaged on a project basis, depending on language availability, regional expertise, and specialization.
Languages we are hiring for:
English (Wales) | English (Ireland) | German (Switzerland) | English (New Zealand) | English (Scotland)
Responsibilities
Accurately transcribe audio and video recordings, correcting errors and ensuring client-ready quality
Provide high-quality voiceover or narration recordings with clear diction and natural delivery
Create captions and subtitles that are synchronized, accurate, and culturally relevant
Review and quality-check work done by other linguists, providing clear feedback and corrections
Follow specific project guidelines, style references, and confidentiality requirements
Manage deliverables within tight deadlines and communicate proactively with project managers
Complete a short assessment or sample task when requested, to confirm suitability before project allocation
Requirements
Native or near-native proficiency in at least one language, with strong working proficiency in English
Proven experience in transcription (audio/video) is required
Experience in at least one additional service: voiceover/narration, captioning, subtitling, or linguistic review
Familiarity with linguistic nuances of regional dialects or language variants
Technical & Professional Skills
Ability to follow project-specific quality standards, especially in removing sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII)
Access to basic technical setup (quiet environment, recording equipment, or transcription tools)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
