11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Perform all functions according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Perform installation, repair and troubleshooting of process equipment as required, including electrical, pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems.

Efficiently maintain operating machines and correct any malfunctions.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment.

Select and collect parts required for repair from the storeroom.

Work with other mechanics to set up, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment.

Responsible for downtime, change‑over time, PMs and productivity results.

Complete PMs in the required time to maintain equipment efficiency.

Communicate possible deterioration of equipment using the parts logbook and the troubleshooting form – “One Point Lesson”.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area with all automatic equipment 100% functional.

Follow safe procedures when repairing or maintaining equipment.

Use lockout/tagout and all required safety equipment.

Recommend equipment maintenance improvements to reduce cost and safety hazards.

Restart machines in a short period of time when required by business needs.

Provide immediate feedback to the Supervisor on unsafe equipment or working conditions.

Adhere to CIPLA Safety, Health and Environmental policies.

Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

Highschool diploma or GED

Experience

2-4 years of experience in packaging with knowledge of repairing and maintenance activity and qualifications preferably in a pharmaceutical company.

Skills / Competencies

Knowledge of good manufacturing practices & good documentation practices preferred.

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.

Self‑motivated, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent organization skills with the ability to focus on details.

Basic computer skills (Word and Excel) – Intermediate.

Good basic math knowledge and excellent attention to details.
