Brazer (5:00am-1:30pm) Cable Accessories

Responsibilities
Perform brazing, soldering and tin-plating processes using a wide variety of light to heavy fitting components together in the assembly of metal parts as specified by layouts, work orders or prints using oxygen/propane torches.
Braze, patch, and repair salvageable components as required.
Clean, fixture, block, clamp, or hold parts in position for proper fusion of metals.
Plate a variety of diversified parts following prescribed procedures for tin‑plating processes.
Maintain solutions for cleaning and plating operations.
Tumble castings and metal parts until clean and smooth.
Assemble and test solder seal terminations.
Perform high‑voltage electrical testing.
Complete u‑splice and diaphragm seal molding process.
Use hand tools for mating parts and aligning for proper fit and clearance.
Follow established procedures, prints and use measuring devices to ensure quality.
Perform minor set up and preventive maintenance functions.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of brazing, soldering and plating tasks as needed.
Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
Qualifications
Has experience using small hand and power tools.
Can safely use acetylene and nitrogen compressed gas.
Has experience with tin flame‑spraying.
Possesses basic computer skills.
Holds a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience and skill development.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Has 1‑2 years working in a manufacturing environment (ideally 3 or more years of brazing experience).
Should be able to read and interpret drawings and bills of material.
Pay Pay Range: $23 – $26 per hour. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
