ColonialWebb is seeking an energetic and talented Sheet Metal Foreman to provide field leadership and technical support for commercial sheet metal projects. As Sheet Metal Foreman, you will fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products associated with commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems. Additionally, you will direct the day‑to‑day work activities of other mechanics, apprentices, and helpers to ensure projects are completed safely and in accordance with budget and quality standards.

A Day In The Life
Supervise and coordinate work activities for Sheet Metal Mechanics and Helpers
Perform installation and service duties while providing guidance and demonstrating best practices to other mechanics, apprentices, and helpers
Demonstrate a passion for safety, help your team understand that safety is the top priority by teaching and coaching behaviors that will truly prevent injury
In collaboration with Construction Manager and Project Manager, discuss labor and material requirements and evaluate work in progress to ensure sheet metal services meet scheduling, budget, and quality standards
Inspects work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
Direct installation of assemblies
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision
Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to product being fabricated and knowledge of metal
You Should Have
Current or previous leadership experience as Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent working on commercial sheet metal projects
In‑depth work experience and ability installing commercial sheet metal systems
Strong experience and ability to interpret drawings and plans
Extensive knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC) and Sheet Metal and Air Contractors National Association (SMACNA) standardsSafety‑minded and thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
Ability to utilize judgment to make decisions, independently
High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast‑paced workload
Initiative; self‑motivated (driven), self‑starter
Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
