Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.

Perform minor adjustment and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.

Diagnose and repair various truck equipment such as electrical, brake, cooling, HVAC, and drivetrain systems.

Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers and pressure gauges.

Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.

Identify problems, determine accurate assessments, and evaluate alternatives using sound judgment.

Manage parts inventory and maintain company‑issued service truck, performing periodic reconciliations and safety checks.

Work effectively with clients to assess needs, provide information, and resolve problems.

Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet productivity targets.

Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.

Document work on Repair Orders (“RO”) using iOS devices and the TRAIT application, uploading pictures and parts used.

Accurately complete DOT forms and all required documentation promptly.

Operate independently and manage daily schedule with a high degree of autonomy.

Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related experience (may be a different combination such as a level‑degree or alternative certification).

At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.

Possess a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.

OEM training and certifications preferred.

Complete company‑required training.

Must pass DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical (or possess a valid DOT medical card with at least four (4) months remaining).

Must be 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean qualification file.

Work as a safe driver; valid state‑of‑residence driver’s license required.

ASE T6 – Electrical and Electronic Systems

ASE T7 – HVAC

ASE A8 – Engine Performance

ASE L1 – Advanced Engine Performance Specialist

ASE L2 – Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist

Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $31.49 – $47.26 per hour (may vary by location and qualifications). Additional compensation may include commissions and incentive programs.
