Essential Duties
Be punctual, dependable, cooperative and able to take direction.
Portray a “positive” attitude to customers and all team members.
Identify and recommend additional necessary services. All recommendations must be based on immediate need or preventive maintenance.
Wear personal protective equipment (eyes and shoes) as directed at all times.
Keep facilities very clean and orderly.
Must be able to use hands, bend and stoop, lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis and work in inclement weather.
Key Responsibilities
Fluid Services:
Drain old oil, replace oil filters, refill oil, check and top off transmission, power steering, brake, and coolant fluids.
Inspections:
Perform multi-point checks on tires (pressure/condition), lights, belts, hoses, and other maintenance items.
Filter & Wiper Replacement:
Change air filters, cabin filters, and windshield wiper blades.
Tire Services:
Rotate tires and check/adjust air pressure.
Customer Service:
Communicate necessary repairs to service advisors, ensure vehicles are clean, and maintain high customer satisfaction (CSI).
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all shop, federal, state, and local safety/environmental rules, use tools safely, and complete training.
Work Environment
Fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Requires physical stamina and being mechanically inclined.
Often a stepping stone to more advanced technician roles.
